Are there moments in your day when you are racing around from one place to the next and wonder---what am I doing???  Why do we volunteer to help with the Fiesta, or in the library, or at lunch duty, or at the Book Fair, or the Christmas Fair, or Make a Difference Day...the list could go on and on.  Sure we get stretched a bit in our daily lives, and we even may ask ourselves how am I getting "paid" for all that I do.  Well our payment is the smiles and the hugs that we get when they race out of school to greet us, or when they tell us even that little bit of news from the day.  And I bet when you add up all those moments you, like me, realize that we have won the lottery of life!  So cheers to all our moms and dads for everything that you do, not only for your children but for our school.  I know you have heard it before but Resurrection would not be the amazing place it is without our parents!  Have a great day...

Countdown to the Fiesta!!!

So the countdown has begun!!  We had over 50 people sweating up a storm last Friday night in an effort to get themselves “Fiesta ready”!  Clearly everyone worked hard as there was alot of celebrating afterward at the Roadhouse.  A big “muchos gracias” to Colleen McLane & Dina Treacy for organizing, to Tommy, the Trainer, for donating his time and expertise, and Greg DeMarco and the gang at the Roadhouse for their generosity!
So some quick updates - the photographer deal for the Family Yearbook has come to a close.  But if you are in the process of scheduling with one of the photographers, keep after them, as you are going to love the pictures!  For those of you who want to submit your own photos a form was e-mailed to everyone explaining what you need to do.  This is turning out to be a great book and I can’t tell you how excited we are, and how appreciative we are to you all for the embrace of this idea to turn our journal into more of a family keepsake piece - I expect to see it on everyone’s coffee tables, or at least next to the school yearbooks on your shelf!
It is going to be a great event, and to think we have only just begun!!  More to come soon and as Dora the Explorer would say, it is time to Vamanos!!
